Barlestone Parish Council Meeting Minutes – 8th June 2010
Notes From The Meeting of Barlestone Parish Council.
Meeting Date: 8th June 2010.
The Clerk reported on the following –
- Letters sent to all Allotment Holders with regard to fires on allotments following complaints by residents.
- Dog Fouling- It has now been discovered that all the open space in the village is covered with regard to Dog Fouling under the Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council scheme and it is an offence to allow your dog to foul any open space.
- Notices had been handed to the contractor to place on entrances when grass cutting is taking place on playing fields asking that dogs are kept on a lead for safety.
- Following on from previous complaints by the Parish, contact has been made with the Highways again with regard to the narrow footpath between Newbold Verdon and Barlestone due to it being overgrown, it is understood this will be dealt with in the near future.
- Complaints have been made by the Parish over the past few years to Highways and again they have contacted them with regard to the state of the carriageway between Newbold Verdon and Barlestone – it is understood this will be done in the near future.
BOCA Requested permission to hold the Firework night on the playing field on the 5th November 2010 – this was agreed by all the councillors present.
The question of the new tree that had been planted a few months ago in the Cemetery and had been vandalised was discussed. It was felt that it needs to be replaced but that it would not be cheap. It was agreed that it is replaced at the right time of the year.
Elohim Church – it was felt the members of the church and their volunteers should be congratulated on the work they have done converting ‘The Jolly Toper’ into ‘The Hub’
